| Hello, and Welcome Back! The 2007 - 08 year should prove exciting and fun-filled for both students and parents. We've plans for some wonderful concerts, clinics, and the fall retreat. In addition, discussions are underway for our next New York City trip in 2009! The Orchestras have adopted a new logo, which will be evident on clothing items the Boosters plan to sell throughout the school year. As you can see, we have redesigned our webpage, and hope to have new information, announcements, and pictures posted each month -- be sure to check regularly to spot your favorite musician! Please explore all of the website areas to familiarize yourself with its components. We are striving to provide communication and unity among our students and parents in all grades 6 - 12, thus improving even more the Forest Hills Central Orchestra Program -- that should be easy, given the talent and dedication exhibited by our young musicians and the enthusiasm of our parents! Please join us in these efforts by participating in your child's musical education and the activities of the Orchestra Boosters. Students: Be sure that you practice your major and melodic scales. We strongly encourage you and your parents to consider that you take private lessons. The one-on-one attention you receive -- weekly or biweekly -- will make you a stronger and more confident player, capable of adding much to the sound of the entire group.
